According to GQ, Providence is America’s Coolest City

Oh GQ, you flatter us. Really, you do.

In an article posted to the Travel section of the GQ website, author Brendan Vaughan espouses the virtues of the artsy, small but vibrant city we know and love. Vaughan is particularly fascinated by the salacious woodwork at The Avery and the swanky, yet affordable accommodations at the Dean Hotel.

“It’s like the whole town is screaming in hedonistic chorus: ‘LOOK HOW SEXY WE’RE GETTING.’ Providence, consider yourself heard. This intimidatingly smart place (Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design, H.P. Lovecraft) wants to party, and it’s a cheap date.”
